The spring thimble is a spring-type probe formed by the three essential parts of the needle, the needle tube, and the spring after being riveted by a precision instrument. It is also called a pogo pin, pogopin spring electrode column, Spring Loaded, or pogopin. The bottom of the needle of the spring thimble is usually a bevel structure.
The function of the bevel structure is to ensure that the pogopin keeps the hand in contact with the inner wall of the needle tube when it is working so that the current mainly passes through the gold-plated needle and the needle tube to ensure stability and low impedance of the pogopin.
Spring thimbles are generally used in precision connections in electronic products such as mobile phones, communications, automobiles, medical, aerospace, etc.; since the spring thimble is an excellent probe, the volume can be made very small, so it can reduce the connection cost when used in precision connectors. Flat-bottomed pogopin: good stability, the bottom of the needle tube is flat-bottomed, easy to solder with the PCB board
Plug-in pogopin: There is a positioning pin at the end of the needle tube, and when it is soldered to the PCB board, there will be no deviation and the positioning effect is good;
Bending pogopin: the tail is bent, providing designers with more choices in space utilization;
Double-headed pogopin: The design of double-headed and double-action allows engineers to have more space flexibility in the board-to-board two-way connection
Soldering wire pogopin: suitable for Cable end, easy to solder with wire
Threaded pogopin: products with special specifications can meet different needs of customers.
