Precautions for the use of pogo pin connectors
The pogo pin is a very precise hardware electronic connection device. Because of its particularity, in order not to affect the use of the product, the following points must be paid attention to during application:
The first point: the most important component of the pogopin connector is the spring, and the spring has a certain compression/extension range, so when using the pogo pin product, you must first consider the working stroke and compression of the environment in which it is used. In order to ensure the service life and stability of the pogo pin, it is best to compress the Pogo Pinto 2/3 of the total stroke when selecting the model; too little press-in and insufficient positive force will cause impedance instability; press-in too much, it will damage the nozzle and cause pin stuck. When assembling, pay attention to prevent damage to the nozzle and causing pin stuck.

The second point: contact direction; the contact direction when pogo pin is used has a direct impact on the contact area and contact force of the pogo pin's contact, and the contact area and contact force will directly affect the contact resistance, so At the beginning of design and selection, attention must be paid to the contact direction.
The third point: The battery contact piece or FPC golden finger paired with the pogo pin must not be dirty, oxidized, etc.
A: There must be no residual sealing liquid; the contact surface of the pogo pin pair must not be dirty, etc.
B: No other dirt remains. When assembling and using the pogo pin, prevent it from touching the plastic partition.

Fourth point: The pogo pinhead and nozzle should be prevented from touching the plastic partition during assembly and use. The pogo pin looks like a simple part, but if there is no good quality control and perfect manufacturing technology level, it is particularly prone to power failure and pin stuck, or short durability (lifetime). Its craftsmanship is particularly delicate and complicated, and every link from lathe processing, electroplating, and assembly may have serious hidden dangers.
1. For example, lathe processing should be processed with Japanese automatic lathes. However, most factories use cutting machines for processing, and accuracy is difficult to guarantee.
2. The outer surface finish of lathe processing, especially the inner and outer surface finish of the needle tube is very important. Most factories do not have surface roughness testing equipment and basically do not control this important parameter.
In terms of the electroplating process, the thickness of the coating has a huge impact on the cost composition. The gold plating is 16u", but most other brands are in the range of 1~2u", which is a big gap. Secondly, the quality of the gold plating in the hole has a great influence on the electrical properties (impedance) and mechanical properties of the pin.
