For ZZT, the term "custom connector" has a very broad meaning, including not only the most basic modification of an existing product but also a design from scratch for an end user with special requirements. We not only provide customers with a complete range of standard products but also provide flexible and diverse customized solutions.
Minimum Order Quantity
Customers interested in custom or modified solutions will be pleasantly surprised by the minimum order quantities we have established for these products. The minimum order quantity for modified standard products is generally 25 pieces. For products that are very unique or require tooling specially designed for the customer's application, the minimum order quantity is usually 50 or 100 pieces. Our required minimum order quantity rarely exceeds 100 pieces.
Delivery date
The complexity of the modification is of course related to the lead time: the more tooling changes, the longer the lead time. For general changes to a standard product, the lead time will add approximately two weeks to the standard product lead time. Solutions that require the use of new injection molds can take up to 16 weeks, with the average lead time from design approval to delivery approaching 12 weeks.
One-time Engineering Expenses (NRE)
Like the lead time, the NRE also depends on the complexity of the modification or customization work. Basic changes generally have no NRE. NREs range from $500 to $5000 for changes of moderate complexity. For solutions that require a design from scratch and extensive tooling, the NRE is in the $5000+ range, depending on the complexity of the solution and the scope of the work. All in all, Baoxi is only using NRE as a means to an end. We expect customized projects to promote the client's business and work with the client to meet the client's design and NRE budget requirements.
